早前申請教育局某職位，今日獲邀上該局面試。
朋友告誡，面試前要做足準備，於是便上該局網頁看看，但因為讓「新聞公報」氣壞，於是準備之事便不了了之。
今日面試，主考官問了三條問題：
- 新高中學制內容 (勉強應付
)
- 教育局常任秘書長是誰 (我唔知~
)
- 近日最熱門教育議題 (天，我連中學殺校這麼大件事都記不起來！
)
連熱門議題都答不上來，一定不會獲聘啦……
雖然今次失敗了，但得著不少。在同一間公司待久了，裝備日漸鬆懈。偶然出去見見工，令自己有動力去修整儀容、關心工作以外的事情，這不是很好嗎？
這一份不成就另一份啦，總有合適的工作在著你。

見工？我以為考會考通識科。

見工前的確要做足準備，想起年前我去見工之前，我的友好同事就幫我綵排，到了見工時才比較順利。另外，我想問是否真的失敗了﹖抑或你自己猜的﹖咁...會不會再接再厲﹖
回覆刪除[版主回覆10/12/2010 05:41:00]因為熱門議題答不上，十之有九都不會請的了。 其實是我不好，抱著玩的心態去見。如果認真點準備，便不會那麼丟架。 不會了，見完這份工，才知道現職有多好。
I know the previous permanent sec was Fanny Law. Don't know her replacement, however. If you knew that, you needed to say that.

Anyway, only a hardcore bureaucrat could come up with Trivia Pursuit as interview questions.
[版主回覆10/12/2010 05:44:00]I didn't know the replacement, Teacher. I only know that it's 黃鴻超 after I googled the term. The chairperson really dug into details, like 新學制入大學成績的最低要求, etc. Didn't bother to remember these things before the interview.
I think you're better off not working for these guys anyway. As a former HR person, I can tell you with some authority that any employer who plays Trivia Pursuit in interviews is not serious about getting the best person for the job. He probably has an HKEAA mentality and you wouldn't be happy there anyway.

I agree with you that I'd be better off not working for these people. And I don't think I'm the person they're looking for. I guess they want to find someone to help them launch a campaign against 中學殺校投訴, and I really hate this idea.
