今早讀報，方知「窩心」一詞，在兩岸的含義截然不同：
大陸：碰上不如意的事無法表白或發洩而內心鬱悶
台灣：心裡快樂舒暢

同是那兩個中文字，但因生活環境差異而令解釋變得相反，語文之難，可想而知。

讀完上述專欄，想起之前做兼職，替別人做校對一份關於drama (戲劇) 的文章，見編輯大人把文中的 play 和 show 全改為 drama，疑惑不解，忍不住寄了封電郵詢問。所得的回覆是：文章以 Drama in education 為題，用詞應該統一。
聽起來很有理，但細想又覺得不是味兒。英文同義詞眾多，只要語境 (context) 清晰，drama、play 和 show 三字互換應該不成問題，一黨專政已夠痛苦，難度語文也要獨裁統治，說一不二？
[後話：昨天翻字典，才知道 the ocean 竟是美式用語 (英式多說 the sea)！如果一個短篇故事中，既出現 the ocean 又出現 the sea，是否又應統一？讓我問問相熟的編輯大人。]
when I came from, a play is usually done live on a stage by actors in a theater, a drama is kind of like the academic term for the same thing, and a show is any kind of a 表演. At least that was the way it was back in the days when proper diction mattered. Chinese is not the only language being corrupted nowadays.

So 大陸窩心 and 台灣窩心 are almost opposites? This reminds me of the US homely vs the UK homely. I'm sure that's cultural too.

"窩心"在兩個地方含義竟然這樣不同。但我用慣了台灣的意思。窩心。。。窩在心裡﹐暖暖溫馨的感覺。

On ocean and sea, my understanding was that both the Brits and the Americans had, in the old days, the ocean being larger than a sea. There're only a few "oceans" in the world. But in addition to being smaller, sea is also the generic term for a large body of open water. Maybe the latter is what's causing the confusion.
回覆刪除隨著時間、地域之不同，也許同一種語言有不同的表寓言，想「窩心」二字正是好例子。當然，同義詞之中亦會有多些差別，有時用上相關詞語或稍為誇張的語句，令文章不致重覆累贅，也不為過。但 " Ocean " 與 " Sea" 可能有頗大的分別吧。
回覆刪除中文的這些地域性用詞的不同, 就算以中文為母語的亦要不斷吸收才用得得當, 將外文翻譯成中文更需小心用詞, 分分鐘搞得詞不達意或意思相反了
回覆刪除今早我也有看到這篇提及 "窩心" 的文章, 真是從不知道會有這樣截然不同的解釋, 我用"窩心" 2 字時, 都是當 "台灣窩心"用 ~~

回覆刪除Well when you look out from US land, it is basicaly either the two oceans or the Gulf of Mexico, therefore 美式用語 would use ocean. And when British look out from their land, it may be the North, Celtic, Irish Sea or the English Channel, so it seem fair they use sea.
回覆刪除很少用「窩心」二字, 原來大陸有此用法!! 我一直以為此兩字解作"貼心", "令人覺得溫暖"添! btw 上大陸網可看到很多當地用語, 最近發現「安逸」二字他們有另一用法. 「安逸」--四川话里的一句口头禅、表示舒适、或是满足的一种状态。还有“令人满意、精彩、糟糕”等意思，用得十分广泛。以及"恰到好处，合适，心里感到很舒服，满足 如：这衣服好安逸哟，我好喜欢" (資料來源: 百度百科)
