因為有兩個讀中三的補習學生，所以對於高中新學制的消息份外關注，見考評局上載了香港中學文憑考試英文科的樣卷 (Sample papers)，第一時間便下載檔案細閱。
雖說是暫定稿，但既然能上載給公眾閱覽，應該不會太差吧？誰知出卷員秉承一貫「求其是但」的作風，做了一份不倫不類的樣卷出來。
如何不倫不類？試舉二例說明之：
一、樣卷中的斜體、粗體及全大寫，使用時沒有固定規則，隨意得可怕！
二、沒想到卷一 (閱讀) 塗黑圓圈的題型竟然沒廢除。到底官員想考學生的閱讀能力，還是考他們著色的技巧？那個圈大如欖核，要塗黑很費勁！
雖然是瑣碎的問題，但所謂見微知著，單看這兩點，栗子妹就覺得考評局的一幫人，神經大多有問題！
我大女今年中三，但我反而無嘜留意新學制添！

不過真心話，留不留意其實分別不大，只能聽天由命

I browsed thru the first couple pages of the Reading section. This is supposed to replace both the CEE and the AL ?

And I wonder if my students can write the 400-word essay in Paper 2.

I believe many teachers are confused and worried by the new academic structure and curriculum. Sigh...

Please don't feel frustrated. I'm sure things will turn out just fine. Stay happy and you can handle all the challenges ahead.

I haven't gotten to the writing part. 400 words? They must be joking That's more than half an A4 page, single-spaced, with normal margin. That's a lot of writing for a local student with limited time. Most of my advance dip students spend over an hour writing just barely 200 words.
