9. The organization wants to take a survey on people's views towards drug addicts. (機構想進行調查，看看人們對吸毒者的看法。)

Somehow, I think 'take me seriously' is not the same as 重視

回覆刪除Chestnut, both Gramdpa Wai and you are coreect on "not taking someone seriously". Yours is the original, and his is an extrapolation. Imagine someone who continuously does not 認真對待我的話 ,I could say that he does not 重視 me.

Nowadays, many English speakers consider the two meanings to be separate and distinct.

回覆刪除Was this example sentence taken from a dictionary, as Oxford Collocations Dictionary says〝take a survey〞 means 〝take part in a survey〞 in the US? Let me check further.
