繼上次〈蜜蠟的聯想〉後,栗子妹跟A君又來一次牛頭唔搭栗嘴。
話說上星期栗子妹打電話給A君,邀請A君一起去聽音樂會,但A君回說要去大酒店,不能同行,當時我淫笑道:「哦,你曳曳!」
到了音樂會那天,栗子妹碰見A君,再聊到大酒店的問題。栗問:「你今晚是否要跟你的蜜糖去大酒店曳曳呢?」A君見我一臉淫相,有點摸不著頭腦:「去大酒店怎麼曳曳了?」
栗:「酒店喎!」
A:「大酒店喎?」
栗:「大酒店旗下的酒店嘛!」(按:大酒店是上市公司)
A:「不是呀,我是在說殯儀館呀!」
栗:「吓?!」
恕栗子妹大鄉里,我真是未聽過殯儀館叫大酒店呀~~~
[之後我問同事D大酒店是甚麼,他說是有夜總會的酒店……]
If I were you, I would ask more people to see if they'er aware of the expression. Maybe A just made it up out of convenience!

「大酒店」一向都是殯儀館的委婉語,正如和合石被稱作「和記」。

「大酒店」早已成俚語,貴友非作假。例如英式的 「birthday suit」,美式的「taking the fifth」皆有意思。

I don't know if the two expressions by 乏言 are in any dictionaries, but I could help you with those. "Birthday suit" is what you were wearing when you were born. Taking the Fifth refers to the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution protecting citizens from self-incrimination. So "taking the Fifth" means refusing to answer a question because the answer might incriminate the answerer.
